Chesterfield County, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - Following a joint investigation by Chesterfield County Police and the Chesterfield County Fire Marshal's Office, detectives have arrested a suspect in relation to a fatal fire that occurred on Beaver Bridge Road near Winterpock in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
After a joint investigation with the Fire Marshal's Office, Chesterfield Police have arrested 52 year old Lee Vaughan. Vaughan was charged with arson in relation to the fire and second-degree murder in relation to the death of the adult female. The identity of the adult female is being withheld pending a positive identification by the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner.
Vaughan is currently being held at the Chesterfield County jail without bond.
