Chesterfield Police To Host Medication Take-back Event

Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Chesterfield County Police Department is set to host a medication take-back event on Saturday, October 28.

At the event, community members can safely dispose of expired and unneeded prescription medications, as well as over-the-counter and veterinary medications. Residents should leave medications in their original containers .Needles, syringes, and other "sharps" will not be accepted.


The Medication Take-Back event will be held at the Kroger located at 14101 Midlothian Turnpike on October 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Turning in expired and unused medications helps prevent medication abuse in our community, and it helps protect the environment," says Elizabeth Caroon, Chesterfield County Police.
