Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield County is holding a series of meetings, starting next Tuesday, on its proposed $540 million bond referendum. The first meeting will be at CTC Hull (old Clover Hill High School) at 6pm September 6th.
The referendum, if approved, would fund new schools, renovations at schools, library replacements, and fire station renovations. Additional projects are also included. The last bond referendum was in 2013, which was approved by the voters at the same time they rejected a meals tax increase. There is no tax increase included this time.
Deputy County Administrator Matt Harris says they are starting early because early voting gets underway September 23rd. You can see the full list of meetings and projects here.
