Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Venture Richmond has announced the dates for this year’s 2nd Street Festival and the Richmond Folk Festival.
The 36th annual 2nd Street Festival will be held in Richmond’s Jackson Ward neighborhood between Oct. 5 and Oct. 6. The festival features live music stages, food vendors, a marketplace, kids zone and an artisan row. It’s suggested that attendees bring their own chairs.
The Richmond Folk Festival, which is marking its 20th anniversary this year, will be held throughout Sept. 27 and Sept. 29 along Downtown Richmond’s riverfront.
The folk festival will take place earlier than usual to avoid falling on Yom Kippur, a Jewish holiday. It will return to its annual October weekend in 2025, taking place Oct. 10 through Oct. 12, according to organizers.
Guests will enjoy live music, food, drinks and local artisans, and vendors.
