
(Henrico County, Va.) - On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, Henrico 9-1-1 received an emergency call for a shooting, prompting a heavy police presence and an #HPDAutoTweet to be sent out around 07:42 am. As officers arrived on the scene, an adult female was found deceased.
Responding officers have secured a portion of the 7600 block of Beth Road to limit pedestrian and vehicular traffic. At the same time, the Criminal Investigation Unit is working in conjunction with one another, collecting evidence and speaking to those nearby in the community.
This active death investigation is the second incident in the immediate vicinity, where police responded for shots fired within an occupied dwelling nearly 24-hours earlier in a nearby apartment community. The two incidents are unrelated. Police will have an increased presence in the area, and area residents are encouraged to call the police if they see or hear anything suspicious by calling 804-501-5000.
