Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - General Assembly Democratic Leaders have written the State Inspector General, asking him to investigate a recent contract with the Virginia Tourism Corporation. Poolhouse, the ad firm that received the $268,000 contract, also worked for the Youngkin campaign in 2021.
Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw (D-Fairfax) and House Minority Leader Don Scott (D-Portsmouth) point out the VTC has never worked with Poolhouse before. The ads also involve the Governor, which the Democrats say has not happened with these ads before. They also point out Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) is hinting at a national run.
Virginia Public Media reports the Youngkin Administration did ask for bids to be open.
