Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Virginia Democrats announced today that the Democratic Party of Virginia has submitted FOIA requests regarding Governor Glenn Youngkin's recent travels. Youngkin last week campaigned in Michigan for the GOP candidate for Governor there, and is scheduled to campaign for a controversial GOP candidate for Governor in Maine next week.

Delegate Marcus Simon (D-Fairfax) says they want to know if taxpayer money is being used on the Governor's travels. The Governor also reportedly is making trips to Georgia, Nevada, and Kansas, and it has been suggested the trips are the early start of a 2024 Presidential run. Even some Virginia Republicans, like Senate Minority Leader Tommy Norment (R-James City) have requested the Governor have a more Virginia focus.

Youngkin last week called the Presidential speculation a media creation.
