Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Starting Tuesday, Virginians can begin walking into their DMV offices without an appointment. Under orders from the General Assembly, the DMV is resuming walk-in service. It will run on alternate days, with appointment service on the other days.

Walk-in service will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Appointments will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You can schedule appointments online.

The DMV has been running an appointment-only service since the Covid pandemic. The DMV says it has found people do like the appointment offerings; however, finding open dates can prove difficult.
