Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Dominion customers could be looking at some smaller bills in the near future. The company says it has submitted several filings which could, if approved, reduce the average bill by $7 to $14. This comes after a period of high bills due to fuel costs.
Spokesman Craig Carper says the company is proposing to eliminate three "riders" which would have the effect of reducing the average bill by $7. Riders are allowed charges for certain things, which Carper says will now be absorbed into the base rate. Carper says the company is also proposing to spread out fuel costs better.
The decreases would take effect July 1st if approved.
