Prince George County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A driver is dead after a crash involving a box truck.

Just before 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, a box truck crossed over from the southbound lane into the northbound lanes on I-95 in Prince George County and struck a vehicle with one person in it.


After hitting the vehicle, the box truck rolled onto its side and started leaking fuel. The vehicle burst into flames, and the driver of the car that was struck died at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.

The northbound lanes of I-95 near I-295 in Prince George were closed for several hours this morning in the aftermath of the crash. The vehicle fire was extinguished by Prince George County Fire and EMS crews, and the fuel was cleaned up.

The incident remains under investigation.
