Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Department of Elections says just a little over 684,000 Virginians early voted this election cycle. This number is much smaller than the over 2.5 million that voted in Georgia, but Virginia runs its major elections in "off years."
If you add the early votes to the absentee ballots returned, just a shade under 950,000 Virginians have voted so far. If you still have an absentee ballot to return, it must be postmarked by Election Day. It also must arrive by noon on Monday, November 14th. You have a few extra days this year because the normal deadline day, Friday, is the Veterans Day federal holiday with no mail.
Polls open on Election Day at 6am.
