Henrico County, VA. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - Over 200 people showed up at the Henrico Registrar's Office by noon on Friday for the first day of early voting. That process got underway throughout Virginia and continues until the Saturday before Election Day (November 5).

Henrico County Registrar Mark Coakley says that it's not unusual that the first day of early voting brings out a fair amount of people. He says since early voting has been around the last few election cycles, that has been the trend.

For now, you can vote Monday through Friday the same hours that the registrar's office is open, which is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Starting with last two Saturdays before Election Day, October 29 and November 5, you'll be able to vote on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Henrico has four bond referendum questions on the ballot as well as races for the 1st and 4th congressional districts, depending on where you live. A reminder that, because of redistricting, your congressional district may have changed.

*The Chesterfield and City of Richmond registrar's were contacted for this story, but did not respond.
