Richmond, Va. (Newradiowrva.com) - Easter on Parade is returning to Monument Avenue after a three year hiatus. The festival, which was last held in 2019, traditionally draws tens of thousands to Monument Avenue on Easter Sunday.
The 2020 event, as well as the 2021 event, were cancelled because of the Covid pandemic. In 2022, event coordinator Jessica Corbett says they could not get the funding together. This year, Kroger, the Black History Museum, and the City of Richmond are helping out.
The event takes place on Monument from Allen Avenue to Davis Avenue. It runs from 1pm to 5pm. This year is the 50th Anniversary of the first Easter on Parade.
