Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico firefighters had to rescue someone from an apartment bathroom, following a fire overnight in the West End. One person had to be taken to the hospital with moderate burns and smoke inhalation. Five other adjourning residents were displaced because of smoke or loss of power. Three animals were also killed.
Firefighters say they arrived to find heavy fire in the front of the apartment and through the roof. They credit 9-1-1 for helping them find the trapped person. The injured individual was taken to VCU.
Horrigan Court is located just off of Tuckernuck Drive in the West End.
