Midlothian, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Fire and EMS say improperly discarded fireworks caused a fire in Western Chesterfield that forced a family from their home. The fire took 50 minutes to put out and did significant damage.

There were no injuries. The family of four is staying with family and friends.

The home is on Twisted Cedar Court. It is located near Hampton Park and Harper's Mill, not far from Cosby High School.
