Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Since last Thursday, five pedestrians have been killed on the roads in central Virginia. The incidents have occurred in each of the major localities. The most recent occurred Wednesday morning in south Richmond.
AAA Spokesman Morgan Dean says drivers need to avoid distractions, mentioning cell phones, but also pointing out drinks and food. He also says pedestrians should wear bright clothing, cross at crosswalks, and be aware of cars, as well as being as visible as possible.
Three of the five incidents were hit and run accidents.
