Petersburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police and Virginia State University Police are investigating a shooting early Wednesday morning on the campus in Ettrick.
According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, at 12:36 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, officers with the department responded to a reported shooting on Boisseau Street outside Daniel Gymnasium on the university’s campus.
Responding officers found four victims who were taken to area hospitals with injuries not considered life threatening. Police say none of the victims are students at the school.
Multiple suspects have been identified and charges are pending. Officials say there is no threat to the university’s community in relation to the shooting.
