Goochland County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Goochland County Public Schools have clarified that the juvenile arrested in connection to yesterday's lockdown was not a GCPS student.

After a staff member received threatening text messages using "specific language" involving weapons and intent to harm, both Goochland Middle and High School went on lockdown. Goochland Elementary, situated nearby, was put on restricted movement.

The lockdown lasted nearly 5 hours as officers from the Goochland Sheriff's Department started conducting searches classroom-by-classroom. There was no threat inside either school, but a juvenile was arrested later that evening.

Now, Goochland has said that the juvenile was not a student of Goochland County Public Schools. No charges have yet been announced, but Goochland Middle & High School students had today off to "regroup."
