Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - With his second executive directive this week, Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) has directed school divisions to notify parents within 24 hours if there is an overdose on school grounds. In a statement, the Governor says he wants notification to be immediate. The directive, according to the Governor, follows a series of overdoses in Loudoun County.
The directive also asks for increased collaboration with law enforcement. The Governor is also looking for increased drug education.
Earlier this week, the Governor also issued a directive targeting antisemitism and religious bigotry.
