Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - High school graduations have begun at the Siegel Center downtown, meaning unusual traffic patterns. Chesterfield high schools are graduating through Wednesday, and then there will be a lull before Henrico high schools graduate the week of June 5th. Hanover and Richmond high schools are graduating at other locations.
Graduations are occurring at 10am, 2:30pm and 7pm. There will be heavy traffic around parking garages and heavy pedestrian traffic. Police will be helping to keep people moving, and barriers are up around the Siegel Center to prevent people walking into Broad Street.
Last year was the first year graduations returned to the Siegel Center after Covid.
