Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - In a letter to parents, L.C. High School Principal Adrienne Blanton says a gun was recovered from the school parking lot. Police and school administrators met a student after receiving a tip that he may have brought the weapon to school. Blanton says a weapon and magazine were recovered.
Blanton says at this point, police do not believe there was a credible threat. She wants parents to realize there are potential serious consequences for bringing a weapon on school grounds.
Bird also had guns recovered on campus last year.
