Hanover County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Hanover County School system has announced new requirements for bags brought to games and events at high school stadiums and gyms.
Now, spectators will only be allowed to bring a clear bag no bigger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag, or a small clutch purse no bigger than 5 inches by 7 inches.
The new requirements are effective today. Guests that arrive at a high school stadium or gym entrance with prohibited bags or items won’t be allowed to enter the venue.
The following bags will now be prohibited:
• Purses, bags, backpacks, cinch bags, mesh bags or containers larger than a small clutch
• Briefcases, computer bags or luggage
• Binocular cases
• Fanny packs
• Grocery bags, trash bags or tinted plastic bags
