Hanover County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - An investigation by Hanover County Public Schools has found that its suspended high school baseball program needs to improve in three areas after reports of misconduct last month.
The areas include increased supervision, communication of expectations, and additional training. A third-party vendor, “A Better Way Athletics,” will provide training to coaches, administrators, parents, and student-athletes.
The program was suspended Nov. 15 when the reports surfaced. School officials have not shared details of the reported misconduct, as they say the law prohibits them from sharing any details about students and staff.
The district says off-season baseball activities are set to resume after winter break.
