Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Governor now has two bills on his desk responding to VCU freshman Adam Oakes' death on campus last year. Both bills require student organizations undergo hazing prevention training and require that schools post violations. Oakes died of alcohol poisoning.

The General Assembly is still working out exactly how to punish hazing in the code. There is a little more than a week in the session to work out the details.

The first person sentenced in the Oakes' incident received his sentence Tuesday. Andrew White received no jail time, but 100 hours community service and will have to meet with Oakes' family.
