Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico County has set up a new webpage to give residents live updates about the water outage.

In a Facebook post, Henrico County Public Works & Public Utilities gave an update on where things stand with the water issues and announced that there is now a webpage on the county’s website that will provide live updates.

“We will also keep it updated with the current resources of where to get water, our call center number (804-501-4275, option 2) and other resources as they are established,” officials said.

According to county officials, the process of fixing the issue could be “lengthy.”

Crews are currently attempting to fill up the Laburnum/Azalea pressure zone, which was the most severely impacted by the City’s water shutoff and the water main break in Sandston on Tuesday.

“Once the Laburnum/Azalea zone has sufficient water pressure, we will then be feeding from that zone into the Greater Eubank zone, which encompasses most of the Varina district,” officials said. “To be clear, this part of the process may be lengthy. There is one 16-inch pipe that feeds between these two zones in the Henrico water system, and it will take time for all of the water to make its way through into the zone to come up to pressure.”

Henrico officials added that crews are working continuously to fully restore water in the county as soon as possible.

For more information, visit the new webpage or call the call center at 804-501-4275.
