Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Henrico Police say after looking into adoption records, medical records, DNA analysis, and consulting doctors, they have determined a woman who came forward this year claiming to be Brittany Williams is not the missing Henrico County girl. Police say they continue to investigate the cold case, which dates back to 2000.

Williams was last seen in 2000, while in the care of a woman named Kim Parker. Williams was suffering from AIDS at the time. Parker did not reveal the girl was no longer with her, however, until 2003. Parker was eventually sentenced to 10 years in prison for fraud because of money she received while Williams was no longer with her.

Williams has never been located. Detectives say they continue to treat the case as if she disappeared yesterday, however, they admit tips and leads are few and far between. They are asking anyone who thinks they may have information to please share it with them.
