Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Following a week where Chesterfield has come under heavy criticism for late pickups, late dropoffs, and long lines at schools, Henrico's Director of Pupil Transportation says late trips are also likely in their locality. Henrico's Director, Jim Ellis, says they are short over 100 drivers, and late trips are possible.
Ellis says they are offering bonus to new drivers to try and get more into the county, with larger bonuses for those who have the necessary licenses. He also says they have surveyed parents, and have taken kids who are not going to ride the bus off the rolls so that the trips can be as efficient as possible.
Henrico starts school on September 8th.
