Hopewell, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - In its latest Facebook post, Hopewell Schools says it is "providing grace" to parents and guardians who want to keep their kids home from school. This comes as the district's dashboard reports 15 Covid cases since classes began last week.
Hopewell says it is working around the clock to come up with suitable options. One option not being considered, at least right now, is allowing students to flip to virtual school. The district's dashboard does show that only one of the cases, belonging to a staff member, appears to have been contracted at a school building.
Hopewell is in session early as it has gone to a more year-around calendar this school year.
