Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - We could be looking at the hottest week of summer so far, according to NBC12. Forecaster Nick Russo says temperatures will be in the mid-90s, with humidity pushing the heat index close to 100. Russo says there may be a few days where the index gets close to 105.
Russo says there isn't much relief in the forecast either, with the heat looking like it will head into the weekend. However, the temperatures will still be lower than the heat dome impacting the center of the country, where temperatures alone are heading over 100.
Europe is also seeing unusual high temperatures as well, which experts are attributing to climate change.
