Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police have given new details about the people killed in the fatal crash on Old Gun Road.

Though they have yet to be officially identified by name, Chesterfield Police have now confirmed that both people killed in a car crash on Old Gun Road were students at James River High School.

The crash occurred when a BMW entered a curve at a high speed and the driver lost control. The vehicle then traveled several hundred feet before striking a retaining wall, overturning, and catching fire. The driver and the passenger, both teenagers, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their identities are still officially being withheld pending identification by the office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
