Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - Senator Tim Kaine has introduced a bill in Washington on Thursday called the Reproductive Freedom for All. It's identical to what was introduced in August, shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court. That bill was killed in committee.
Kaine says this is a bi-partisan effort with Republicans Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski from Alaska as well as Independent Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona.
Kaine says he wants to make the legislation act like a time machine that would take America back to before the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade. He says the longer America experiences what life is like post-Dobbs decision, the more American will realize a national standard on reproductive rights is necessary.
