Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Senator Tim Kaine weighed in on Republican Senator Chuck Grassley's suggestion that the FBI should investigate President Biden over allegations surrounding his personal finances.

Kaine said that he believes any legitimate allegations should be subject to thorough independent investigation, but that he has not seen any specific, credible allegations against Biden. He called the GOP the "boy who cried wolf," saying that they have brought this up repeatedly, but that they have yet to demonstrate any clear allegations. He also brought up the ongoing investigation of Hunter Biden as proof, saying "no democrats are saying there shouldn't be" such an investigation.

As for former President Trump's federal indictments, Kaine emphasized that Trump is presumed innocent until proven guilty, saying all he hopes for is a fair and impartial trial.
