Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- A Chesterfield jury has convicted Kassceen Weaver on all charges.
The jury reached its decision after just hours of deliberation, finding Weaver responsible for his son's 2018 death and convicting him of murder, felony child neglect, and concealment of a dead body. Witnesses in the multi-day trial included both a forensic pathologist and a forensic anthropologist, as well as Weaver's estranged wife.
Chesterfield police discovered the body of three-year-old Adon Weaver in a freezer in the family's home in 2021. They eventually determined that it had been stored there for over two and a half years.
Weaver faces up to 55 years in prison. His sentencing is set for October 26. Both Kassceen and Dina Weaver, his wife, have another court date in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court set for August 5. Both face several charges there as well.
