Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Police say they have charged a 51-year old man for allegedly firing at officers in South Richmond over the weekend. Jonathan Wilson, 51, of Richmond, has been charged for an outstanding felony warrant, attempted capital murder, and use of a firearm.

Police say they were originally called to the scene, after being told a man suspected of assaulting a woman at an ATM was in the neighborhood. Police say the man they confronted first gave false information, then walked away, and according to police, shot at them.

The officers took cover and additional officers then helped arrest Wilson. No officers were injured.
