Man Who Was Subject of Multiple-Hour Pursuit Arrested

Nottoway Deputies Catch Up With Amelia Man

Nottoway, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - On May 16, 2022, Nottoway Sheriff’s Office received an attempt to locate from Lunenburg Sheriff’s Office for a stolen 1978 Blue Ford Truck. Vehicle was spotted on the West End of Crewe at approximately 7:06pm. A pursuit began, with speeds of approximately 80mph. Pursuit proceeded into Nottoway County. At approximately 7:14pm vehicle was in the area of 460 & 606 where the suspect shot out of the window multiple times at Nottoway Sheriff Deputies. Suspect jumped out of vehicle & fled on foot heading east. K9 was requested at this time. Nottoway Sheriffs Deputies, Virginia State Police & a Crewe Police Officer patrolled the area searching for the suspect, VSP Aviation also assisted.

At 8:25pm, Code Red sent out to citizens in the immediate area advising of heavy police presence in the area searching for subject who is armed & dangerous. At approximately 9:09pm received a call of an attempted breaking & entering into someone’s truck in the 3000 block of Cottage Rd. Deputies responded & canvased the area.

At approximately 12:38am a resident in the 3000 block of Cottage Rd. heard a gun shot in the Brian’s Automotive area. Area was checked.

At approximately 6:13am on 5/17/2022 a w/m was spotted stealing a 4-wheeler from the 2000 block of Cottage Rd. Deputies responded & immediately began canvasing the area. Suspect set off alarm within the same block.

At 7:42am received 911 call from citizen in 1000 block of Riddle Rd. advising suspect knocking on her door. At 7:50am deputy & VSP unit began foot pursuit. Suspect was apprehended at 7:52am.

Suspect is Noah Price, 21 years old, from Amelia County. Wanted out of Cumberland County. Charges pending from numerous surrounding jurisdictions.
