Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- Though the jackpot-winning ticket was purchased in Florida, the Virginia Lottery says several other winning tickets were sold here in Virginia. The jackpot -- a record-breaking $1.58 billion -- was the largest in mega millions history.

In Virginia, this jackpot run earned a total 31 million for K-12 education. Two $20,000 tickets were sold in Virginia -- one in Salem and one in Henrico. a $10,000 ticket was also sold in Norfolk.
