Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - With basically two weeks to go before Election Day, Chesterfield says it will be opening up five satellite voting locations on Monday to give county voters more options. The entire General Assembly is up for election this year.
The five locations are in libraries (North Courthouse Road Library, LaPrade Library, Meadowdale Library, Ettrick-Matoaca Library and Clover Hill Library). The county has done this since early voting was first instituted in 2020. You do not need to vote at the library closest to your home.
Registrar Missy Vera says so far, over 7,000 people have early voted in Chesterfield, but she expects the pace to pick up with the opening of the satellite locations. They will be open Monday through Saturday through November 4th.
