Dublin, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com ) - We may never learn exactly who won the $161 million Powerball jackpot in southwest Virginia this weekend. State law changed in 2019 to allow anyone who won a jackpot over $10 million to remain anonymous.
Previous jackpot winners did have to come forward publicly. This is the first major jackpot to qualify under the law. This is the fourth largest jackpot won in Virginia.
The retailer in Dublin was also awarded with a bonus Monday morning for selling the winning ticket.
