Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Due to icy weather conditions, the Boulevard Bridge – also known as “The Nickel Bridge” – is closed.
The Richmond Police Department made the announcement on X at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has warned that there may be slick spots and icy roads this morning due to the combination of yesterday’s snow and frigid overnight temperatures.
VDOT recommends that drivers use extra caution, particularly in locations where pavement freezes first, such as bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas.
