Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police say there will be no charges after fetal remains were found in a backpack in a dumpster behind a Hull Street Road shopping complex in August. The remains were discovered by a store employee, after he noticed a teen girl dumping the backpack in the dumpster.
Chesterfield Police say the the medical examiner returned the information they needed, and they presented the case to the Commonwealth's Attorney, who declined prosecution. The ME could not determine the manner of death, and the death happened in the uterus.
Both parents were juveniles.
