Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - New CDC guidance on outdoor mask use is not leading to a change in Virginia's mask mandate, at least not yet. The Northam Administration says they are review what the CDC said, and determining if any changes are necessary.

According to the VDH website, masks are required outdoors if people cannot social distance from each other. The new guidance says fully vaccinated people should be able to be outdoors maskless unless in big crowds. Unvaccinated people should also be able to be maskless if surrounded by fully vaccinated people.

The Northam Administration continues to stress vaccinations, calling it the pathway out of the pandemic. All Virginians sixteen and older are now eligible to get a vaccine.
