Henrico County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) -- A woman was fatally shot on Howard Road this morning at around 3:41 AM.
When Henrico Police responded to an early morning call for a shooting on Howard Road, they found one woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital, where she eventually succumbed to her injuries. The victim has been identified as Diamond Cox, 21, of Richmond.
Even though the event occurred in close proximity to Ratcliffe Elementary School, police say there was no threat to the school, since the shooting occurred just after 3:30 am. Police are asking that anyone with information on the incident contact them directly or use the P3 app to leave an anonymous tip.
