Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Department of Health has announced that some health districts will be exapnding vaccinations to Phase 1c this week. Phase 1c includes additional essential workers like energy, transportation, and media.

The health districts making the move are not listed, but there are reports that it includes Danville and the Eastern Shore. Locally, Richmond, Henrico, and Hanover are all vaccinating all of Phase 1b, while Chesterfield, Powhatan, and Colonial Heights are vaccinating half of 1b. Chesterfield Health District officials say demographics and supply lead them to limit their eligibility at this time.

President Joe Biden wants all adults eligible to be vaccinated by May 1st.
