Petersburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Petersburg's Police Chief says he wants City Council to change the city's curfew law, if possible, to 6pm. The law, according to Chief Travis Christian, is currently 8pm. The request comes after a three day period in which seven people, four of them kids, were shot in Petersburg.
Christian also says additional officers will be seen in the city. He thanked State Police for their assistance Friday night, when six people were shot at three different locations. He also says strict enforcement is coming, with arrests for all but minor traffic offenses.
Christian spoke during a recent press conference to address gun violence in Petersburg.
