Henrico County, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, Henrico Police responded to the 2300 block of E. Laburnum Avenue for a reported shooting just after 9 am. Officers arrived and investigated, learning a resident fired a weapon towards an adult male as he was leaving a family member's home after an argument ensued.
The uninjured victim was able to call 9-1-1, where police began their investigation along Laburnum Avenue. A suspect was identified and ultimately taken into custody just after 1130 am.
William Glasgow Johnson, III., 34, of the 3800 block of Candlegrove Court was arrested. He is charged with attempted malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied vehicle, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, and brandishing a gun. In addition, police seized a gun from the property.
