CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Police have arrested a suspect in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred in the 3300 block of Old Courthouse Road on Sept. 3, 2022.
At about 8:10 a.m. on Sept. 3, police responded to a report that a man was found unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located 29 year old Brandon Robertson of the 3300 block of Old Courthouse Road, who was deceased inside a vehicle.
On Sept. 7, police arrested 31 year old Anthony Spencer, 31, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Spencer, of the 1800 block of N. 20th Street in Richmond, was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the homicide. He is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
At this point, the investigation indicates Spencer and Robertson had been involved in an altercation during the early morning hours of September 3.
