RPD Announces Road Closures, No Parking Zones for Lobby Day

Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - The Richmond Police Department asks the public to be aware of several road closures and ‘No Parking’ zones that will be in effect during Lobby Day 2023.

The RPD, working with partner law enforcement agencies, is dedicated and committed to ensuring that the public has safe access to the Virginia State Capitol grounds where they can participate in the annual Lobby Day interaction with legislators. These road closures and no parking zones help achieve that goal.

Roads will be closed and ‘No Parking’ zones will be established from 5 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday, January 16.

The following roads will be closed during that time period:

 North 9 th Street between East Main and East Broad streets

 East Franklin Street between North 8 th and North 9 th streets

 East Grace Street between North 8 th and North 9 th  streets

The following “No Parking” zones will be in effect during that time period:

 East Broad Street between North 5 th and North 14 th streets

 East Main Street between North 8 th and North 14 th streets

 North 9 th Street between East Broad and East Main streets

 East Franklin Street between North 8 th and North 9 th streets

 East Grace Street between North 8 th and North 9 th  streets

 North 12 th Street between East Main and Bank streets

 North 14 th Street between East Broad and East Main streets
