Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The city skyline will light up this evening at the RVA Illuminates event, presented by the City of Richmond and our partners at 8News!
The event will start at 4 p.m. at Kanawha Plaza, located at 801 E. Canal Street. A countdown will begin at 5:59 p.m. for the main event. The switch to turn on the over 80,000 lights will be flipped at 6 p.m.
Prior to the main event, the craft tent will be open and there will be a lineup of performances from Lonnie B, AJ Jones, the Huguenot High School choir, Mervin Mayo, Desiree Roots, and the Urban Dance League. There will also be food trucks.
The event is free to attend. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on the lawn. Seating is first come, first served.
