Ashland, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Ashland Holiday Parade is happening this Sunday, and several roads will be closed off to accommodate the event. Vehicle towing for the parade will be enforced starting at 11 a.m. that day.
According to the Ashland Police Department, the Ashland Holiday Parade will take place on Route 54 and Henry Street at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Roads affected by the parade include Route 54 from Medical Drive to Henry Street, Hanover Avenue between Lee Street and Duncan Street, as well as Henry Street between Route 54 and Archie Cannon Drive.
Police say streets connecting to the parade route may have limited access. All affected roadways are expected to be reopened by 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Drivers are advised to use Ashcake Road as an alternative route to avoid delays.
