Richmond, Va. (NewsradioWRVA.com) - Between 3 this afternoon and 9 this evening is the time frame for the Richmond Metro area to be threatened by severe weather.
NBC12 meteorologist Andrew Freiden says that the main threat will be heavy downpours and possible straight-line winds. That doesn't mean that there won't be a threat for tornadoes, but that's not a major concern with these storms.
The line of storms today will give us relief from the heat. Tomorrow, there's a possibility for rain throughout the day and temperatures only in the mid 80s.
